HISTORYAND BACKGROUND Boikanyo Initiatives was established on the 13 January 2010,it is based at region C and operates in Roodepoort. Boikanyo Initiatives run by its office, board of directors, care givers and dedicated volunteers from the community. Boikanyo Initiatives was started by individuals working in the community of Roodepoort and other areas with the common goal of addressing the issue of poverty, skills development and food security in the area as the result of HIV$ AIDS. MAIN OBJECTIVES To provide skills training, focusing on the area of food security. Support the provision to all South Africa of comprehensive social security services in particular with regards to children.
